At Benchmark Family Services we are passionate about serving the foster children, youth, and families we work with to the absolute best of our ability. This often means investing in ongoing education, staying up to date on the newest laws and regulations, conducting new training, and seeking additional accreditations.
What is Accreditation?
”An accreditation is a formal, independent verification that a program or institution meets established quality standards and is competent to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks. Conformity assessment tasks may include, but are not limited to, testing, inspection, or certification.”
A Therapeutic foster care agency may voluntarily choose to seek accreditation as a way of demonstrating their commitment to excellence in the way they run their agency.
This is exactly what we have done at Benchmark Family Services. We are proud to have our CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation as part of our commitment to serving foster parents and the children in the foster care system with excellence.
Value of CARF Accreditation
CARF accreditation signals a service provider’s commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community.
About CARF
CARF provides accreditation services worldwide at the request of health and human service providers. Whether you are seeking rehabilitation for a disability, treatment for addiction and substance abuse, home and community services, retirement living, or other health and human services, you can have confidence in your choice. Providers that meet CARF standards have demonstrated their commitment to being among the best available.

What Does This Mean For Benchmark Family Services?
- Program Quality
We hold ourselves to the highest standard of quality in our licensing processes, case management procedures, and internal operations. We use ASIware to make sure we go above and beyond state requirements. This also provides a central repository for all case management information so that we can provide consistent care and support no matter who may be on the case.
Our team of Program Support Specialists works with our State and Regional Directors to maintain the high level of quality that Benchmark expects in each of our regional offices. By streamlining our procedures, we are able to respond very quickly to requests for information by custodial agencies allowing them to make crucial decisions as we work together to help our youth reach their goals.
- Fiscal Responsibility
Benchmark contracts with Admin Solutions, Inc. to provide financial management and oversight services. We remain diligent in making sure the money we receive is spent in a way that supports our mission. We operate very lean, operating only off of the revenue we receive from our service contracts. Each year, we are audited by a private CPA firm, and we report those findings to contracting agencies. We prepare and submit separate cost reports to the states we contract with as well.
